Frequently asked questions

Answers on the GetDentalWebsite offer: what is included, revisions, articles, the AI Engine, hosting, domains, moving your current site and billing.

The offer

What exactly do I get for the monthly fee?

A complete dental practice website, built for your practice type, with a page for every treatment, location pages, insurance and financing pages, the booking request form connected to your practice management system or CRM, 5 revisions a month, 2 researched articles a week, Cloudflare hosting, a domain and ongoing management. The Full Practice plan adds the AI Engine and the Multi-Location plan adds the Content Engine.

Are you a dental practice or a marketing agency?

Neither. GetDentalWebsite is a website design and management company that builds and runs websites for dental practices. We are not a dental practice, dentist or healthcare provider, we never give dental or medical advice, and the content on the sites we build is general information for patients, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan.

How is this different from a dental website template?

A template gives you the same five pages as the practice down the road and leaves you to edit them. We build a page for every treatment you offer, write them in your voice, connect the booking request to your systems, and then keep changing the site for you every week. The design is yours, the content is yours, and the work of running it is ours.

Which practice types do you build for?

General and family dentistry, pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, implant and restorative practices, oral surgery, periodontics and endodontics, from a single operatory to a multi-location group. Each practice type gets its own page structure, treatment set, booking form fields and referral pages where they apply.

Getting started

What happens right after I sign up?

You fill in the onboarding form at /onboarding: your treatments, insurance carriers, team, locations, photos and how you want booking requests to arrive. Anything you do not have yet can follow later by email or as a ticket in your client portal, so a missing item never holds up the build. Next comes one onboarding call to walk through your answers and fill any gaps, then we build.

What if I do not have everything the onboarding form asks for?

Submit the form with whatever you have. We start the build with what is there, and anything missing, a logo, a team photo, a finalized fee schedule, can follow afterward by email or as a ticket in your client portal without holding up the launch date.

What is the client portal and when do I get it?

Every client gets a client portal the day the site goes live. It is where you request revisions, raise a support ticket, send us files and message the team directly, so you are never hunting for an email address. Revisions are requested there rather than by email once the portal is active.

Revisions and updates

What counts as a revision, and what happens after five?

A revision is any change request you send, with no limit on how much goes into one. 5 are included every month. After that each additional revision is a flat $20, with no hourly billing anywhere. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days.

How quickly can you change our hours or add a new team member?

Within 2 to 5 working days of your request, and usually sooner for small changes such as holiday hours. A new team member with a bio and photo, a changed new-patient offer, a new treatment page or an updated insurance list are all normal weekly updates and each counts as one revision, however much goes into it: "build two new service pages, here is the copy for both" is still one revision.

Do unused revisions roll over to the next month?

No. 5 revisions are included each month and reset the following month, whether or not you used all of them. There is no cap on additional revisions beyond the five: each one is a flat $20 with no hourly billing. Once your site is live, revisions are requested from your client portal.

Can we approve changes before they go live?

Yes. If your practice wants a named approver to sign off on published text, we hold every change in a preview link until that person says yes. Otherwise we publish within the turnaround and send you a note with what changed.

Articles

Who writes the articles and what are they about?

Our writers research and write 2 articles a week on the Single Operatory and Full Practice plans and 3 a week on Multi-Location, each 2,500 to 3,200 words, on the questions patients search before booking: first visits, what a crown involves, aligners compared with braces, what to do about a chipped tooth. Every article cites its sources, is general information rather than advice, and can be reviewed by you before publishing.

Can our dentist review articles before they are published?

Yes. Tell us at onboarding that articles need clinical review and we send each one as a preview with a comment link. Nothing is published until your reviewer approves it, and you can ask for a correction or removal at any time after publication.

Do the articles give dental advice?

No. Articles are general information for a reader deciding whether to book, written in plain language, and each carries a clear line that it is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan and that only an examination can determine what is appropriate. We do not invent statistics and we cite reputable sources for factual claims.

The AI Engine

What does the AI Engine actually do for a dental practice?

On the Full Practice and Multi-Location plans it answers questions about your practice, hours, treatments, insurance and financing on the website, by SMS, on Messenger and on Instagram, and turns the conversation into a booking request with the same fields as the form. It is scripted from your own pages, never gives dental advice, and hands anything clinical to a person at your practice.

What is the AI usage charge on the Full Practice plan?

The $297 monthly fee covers the AI Engine itself. The minutes, messages and carrier fees it uses are billed at cost each month on top, itemized so you can see exactly what was used. There is no markup on usage and no minimum.

Will the AI receptionist discuss symptoms or treatment?

No. It is configured to answer only about the practice and to book requests. If a patient describes pain or asks whether they need a particular treatment, it explains that the dentist will assess that at the appointment and passes the conversation to your team. You review the scripts and hand-off rules before launch.

Hosting and management

Where is the site hosted and what is included?

On Cloudflare's global network, with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth included in the monthly fee. There is no hosting bill, no SSL bill and no bandwidth overage, ever. Because the site is static there is no database or admin login to be attacked and no plugins to break.

Do we need anyone at the practice to look after the site?

No. Nobody at the practice logs in to anything. You email changes and we make them. We monitor speed, uptime and search performance and fix what needs fixing. If a treatment page slips below the speed guarantee because of something we added, we correct it at no charge.

Domains

Can we keep our existing domain?

Yes. We point the new site at the domain you already own and manage the DNS for you, so nothing changes for patients or for your email. If you do not have a domain, one is included free for as long as your plan is active, registered in your practice's name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, and it stays yours.

Who owns the domain and the content if we leave?

You do. The domain is registered in your name, the content we write for you is yours to keep, and on cancellation we provide a full export within 14 days. Design and code stay ours, as with any agency, but nothing you need to run your practice is held back.

Moving from your current site

What happens to our current site and its search rankings?

We map every page on your current site to a page on the new one and set up redirects so nothing that ranks today points at a dead page. The new site launches with the same domain, faster pages, more treatment pages and correct structured data, which is the usual starting point for rankings to improve rather than fall.

What do you need from us to build the site?

An onboarding call of about an hour, your list of treatments and the way you describe them, your insurance carriers and financing options, team names and photos, office photos, hours and locations, and a login or export from your current site. We do the rest and send pages for approval as they are ready.

Can you connect the booking request to our practice management software?

Yes, where the software accepts external requests by API or through Zapier or Make, and to your CRM in every case. If your PMS is closed, the request lands in the CRM with a task for the coordinator and a notification to the front desk, and nothing is lost.

Billing

What do I actually pay, and when?

You pay the monthly fee for the plan you choose up front: $137 for Single Operatory, $297 plus AI usage for Full Practice, or $747 for Multi-Location. The $797 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you have confirmed you are satisfied with it.

Is there a contract or can we cancel any time?

There is no contract beyond the month. To cancel, email us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours (9:00 to 17:00 Central, Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays). A message outside those hours counts from the start of the next business day, so a weekend email does not give 2 business days of notice for a Monday or Tuesday invoice. With valid notice no further invoice is raised; with late notice the next invoice is charged and cancellation takes effect at the end of that month. If you cancel before the build starts, the build fee is never charged.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

All sales are final. We do not refund for a change of mind or unused service once a payment has been taken. The only refund we issue is for a duplicate or incorrect charge made by our own billing, reported within 30 days. The full terms are in the refund and cancellation policy.

Can we start on one plan and move to another?

Yes. Most practices start on Single Operatory or Full Practice and move up when they add the AI Engine or a second location. A plan change takes effect from your next billing date and there is no second build fee.

Still got a question? Ask it on the demo.

From $137 a month, live in 7 days, and nobody at the practice ever logs into anything.
